NDA -2021 (National Defence Academy) Exam  is a national level exam organized by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). It is conducted to recruit candidates in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. It is conducted twice every year as NDA (1) and NDA (2).

NDA 2021: Application Form

Given below is the process to fill the application form

• The NDA 2021 Application Form will be released through the online mode. 
• The NDA (I) 2021 Application Form will be released from 30th December 2020 and this can be filled until the 19th of January 2021.
• The NDA (II) 2021 Application Form will be released from 9th June 2021 and this can be filled until 29th June 2021.
• The application form can only be submitted via online mode.
• The candidate has to upload the scanned photo and the scanned copy of the signature in the prescribed format.
• The form can be filled in two-part as part 1 two-part 2.
•  In part 1, the students have to fill their basic details and the other details.
• In part 2, the candidates have to Upload the Images, signature, photographs, choose the exam center and pay the application fee.
• The candidates have to take out the print out of the application form.

The dates are tentative.

NDA 2021: Registration 

The Registration of NDA 2021 is done in 2 parts.

PART 1

1. Visit the official website of UPSC (upsc.gov.in).
2. Click on ‘apply online’ link on the right-hand side of the website.
3. Click on the ‘online application for various examinations’ link.
4. Click on ‘online applications for various examinations of UPSC’ link.
5. Click on ‘Part 1’ registration link of NDA examination.
6. Go through the set of instructions and click on the ‘Yes’ button.
7. Fill up the part 1 registration form by entering the following details – Personal details, academic details, address and contact details.
8. Click on the ‘continue’ button.
9. Choose the type of ID card.
10. Enter the ID card number.
11. Enter examination preferences.
12. Click on ‘continue’ button.
13. Enter the captcha code/security pin and click on the ‘I agree’ button.
14. Part 1 registration process is complete. You may take a printout of it also.
15. You’ll also receive a confirmation message via email on your registered email id.

Once you done with part 1 registration process, a candidate may click on ‘click here for part 2 registration’ 

PART 2

1. The candidates have to click on the ‘click here for part 2 registration’ link.
2. Enter your registration number (from part 1), date of birth and captcha code.
3. Click on the ‘submit’ button.
4. Choose preferred mode of payment.
5. Pay the application fee.
6. Take printout of/save payment receipt for further reference/use.
7. Enter your choice of exam center.
8. Click on the ‘submit’ button.
9. Upload scanned documents (photograph, signature and ID card).
10. Click on the ‘upload image’ button.
11. Enter your photo ID number.
12. Go through the declaration text and accept it by clicking on the ‘I agree’ button.
13. You’ll receive a ‘success’ message on screen.
14. Click on ‘view/print’ application form link and take printout of application form.

NDA 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must know the eligibility criteria of NDA 2021.

• Nationality: Indian national, a subject of Bhutan or a subject of Nepal category candidates will be eligible for NDA 2021 
• A Tibetan refugee who came India (before 1st January 1962) with intention of permanently settling in India 
• Indian origin person who migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African, Burma countries of Uganda, Kenya, the united public of Tanzania, Zambia, Zaire, Vietnam or Ethiopia and Malawi with Intention of permanently settling in India.
• Marital Status: unmarried
• Gender: Only male category candidates are eligible to apply.
• Age Limit: Candidate’s age must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years 
• For NDA I- Applying candidates must be born between 2nd July 2002 to 1st July 2005.
• For NDA II- Applying candidates must be born between 2nd January 2003 to 1st January 2006.
• For Army Wing or National Defence Academy: Candidates must qualify 12th or equivalent examination from any recognized board or university.
• For Air force & Naval wings of NDA & for 10+2 cadet entry scheme at the Indian Naval Academy : The candidates must qualify 12th with Physics & Mathematics as their compulsory subject.
• Candidates must be physically fit.

NDA 2021: Syllabus 

Before preparing for the exam candidates must know the syllabus of NDA 2021. It is divided into two sections.

1. Mathematical Ability: Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry of Two and Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability.
2. General Ability: It comprises with English and General Knowledge. The GK section consists of:  Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography, Current Affairs.

NDA Exam Pattern 

1. The mode of examination is the  offline mode in English and Hindi.
2. It consists of two sections.
3. It is Objective based question/ MCQ
4. Paper will be of total 900 marks (Mathematics – 300; General Ability Test – 600). Also the interview round (SSB) will be of 900 marks.
5. The time duration to complete the paper will be 5 hours (2½ hours each).

NDA Exam Pattern: Paper 1

For Mathematics the time duration Is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Number of questions: 120

Total Marks: 300

NDA Exam Pattern: Paper 2

For General Ability the time duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Number if questions: 150

Total Marks: 600

Note:

0.33 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

NDA Preparation Tips and Strategies

To crack the NDA 2021 exam, the candidates must have proper strategies and the NDA Tips and strategies must be followed.

• • The candidates must have the proper knowledge about the subjects and syllabus.
  • The candidates can prefer NCERT books to read.
  • The candidates must have a clear understanding of the exam pattern.
  • The candidates must check and read current affairs every day.
  • For the GK part, the candidates must prefer a book and read that book regularly.

• As the exam is an objective base, don’t guess while solving the questions.

•  The candidates can also make notes which is really helpful because every section of the topics will be in one place.

• It’s important to solve the previous year question which will help you to know about the pattern, idea, marking scheme, etc. 

• Solving mock tests on a daily basis is very important which gives you an insight about the exam and you will know your weaker section of the topic. And on the basis of that you can prepare.

• The candidates must be concerned and take care of their health as it is a National Defence Academy exam.

• Hard work is important, hard work doesn’t mean to spend 24 hours studying. It means you have to work hard but smartly.

• The candidates can do some extra activities other than study also but it should be your hobby like sketching, playing guitar, etc.

• You have to be calm and stress-free otherwise it will create problems in your preparation.

• The candidates must read the newspaper every day to know about current affairs and to improve English.
